The present invention relates to a method and a device for automatically aligning optical fibres.
<??>The device is essentially composed of a support 10 carrying the fibre or fibres 11 to be measured and of a support 12 carrying the measuring fibre 13. The support 10 includes a first support element 14 provided with a V groove 15. The support 12 also includes a first movable support element 17. These two supports are associated with a common support element 16 which includes alignment grooves defined by pairs of cylindrical elements 20. The support element 17 comprises movable parts enabling the end length of the measurement fibre 13 to be moved in three orthogonal directions X, Y and Z.
<??>This device makes it possible to measure the parameters of the optical fibres of an optical cable.
