<p>Metallurgical slag is softened by adding the decarbonized softener of 20-30 wt.% to slag of 100 wt.%, Softener contains 74-80 wt.% natural feldspar, 10-20 wt.% Na2O and 3-9 wt.% B2O3. The natural feldspar is composed of (in wt.%) 68-72% SiO2, 15-18% Al2O3, 0.11-0.96% Fe2O3, 5.0-8.0% Na2O, 5.0-8.0% K2O, a small quantity MnO and 0.5-1.5% CaO. The softener is used for lowering melting point and softening point of a slag.</p> |
