PURPOSE:To focus a lens in compliance with the photographer's intention by setting the rotative operation speed of a distance ring and the focus moving speed to desired relations to control the output of a motor. CONSTITUTION:When a rotative operation member 1 is rotated by manual operation, pulses are generated from a pulse generating means 2 in accordance with this rotation of the rotative operation member 1, and the rotative speed of the rotative operation member 1 is detected by detecting means 3 based on these pulses and is outputted as a rotative speed signal. Focusing of a photographic lens is performed by a motor 12, and a driving signal to the motor 12 is outputted from a control means 6 in accordance with the rotative speed signal detected by the detecting means 3. Correspondence relations between the rotative speed signal and the driving signal in the control means 6 are changed by a setting means 4, and a high or low level of the motor driving output for the rotative speed is selected. When the distance ring is manually operated, the feed-in/out direction of the lens meets the desire of each person to enable power focus. |
