PURPOSE:To detect a runaway of a microprogram by the addition of less hardware, by setting an FF when dissidence is detected by the comparison of a comparator during microinstruction execution, or when a counters reaches a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A counter 25 is initialized by some microinstruction and increases by one synchronously every time a microinstruction is read out. The output of the counter 25 is connected to a comparator 26 and an FF27, and a partial bit output of a microinstruction register 23 is supplied to the comparator 26, whose comparison result is supplied to the FF27. Then, the FF27 obtains the outputs of the counter 25 and comparator 26 and latches the output of the comparator 26 at this time by some microinstruction or is set when the contents of the counter 25 attain to a specific value. Thus, a runaway of the microprogram is detected from the contents of the FF and the reliability of an information processor is improved. |
