PURPOSE:To improve the denseness, homogeneity, dimensional precision, and strength of a cast product by pouring a specified slurry into a water-absorptive mold, and rotating the mold to adhere the slurry on the inner surface of the mold by centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:The ceramic particles contg. a bivalent metal salt such as CaCO3 having 0.3-2mum particle diameter are suspended in water, and 0.1-0.5wt.% of one or more kinds of deflocculants selected from water glass, Na2CO3, NaH2PO4, and Na2SO4 are added to obtain a suspension. Aq. ammonium is added, as required, by 0.01-0.3wt.% to the suspension so that the total water content is adjusted to 15-33wt.% to obtain a ceramic slurry (a). The (a) component is poured into the water-absorptive mold 1 (gypsum mold) through a hopper 4, and the mold 1 and a shell 2 are rotated by a rotary roll 5 with the centrifugal force at 30-300G to form a ceramic cast product A(b) on the inner surface of the mold 1. The (b) ceramic product is extracted from the mold 1, dried, and sintered. |
