To facilitate installation of a Bowden cable, the free end of the sheath (4) and cable (3) have respective snap-action connectors (7, 8) which are held apart by a coupling (9). The spacing of the connectors corresponds to that of the recesses in the parts which are to receive the connectors. After assembly, the coupling is removed. Connector (7) may be moulded into sheath. The free end of cable may be connected to connector (8) either by a bent-over portion or by a spring clip.
