<p>The safety lock is used in addition to existing ignition locks to prevent the use of the vehicle by unauthorised and or intoxicated drivers. The negative lead from the ignition lock is broken by a safety box containing five number wheels. Each wheel is bored at a different number to give a combination. The bores contain contacts which, when adjusted to give the correct combination figure, complete the ignition circuit. A display lamp in series with the safety box and ignition lock, signals when the circuit is complete.</p> |
