PURPOSE:To suppress the change of the capacity of discharging capacitors to achieve stable laser oscillation, by equipping a tube container with a bottom to isolate the discharging capacitors from gas laser medium and contain them therein. CONSTITUTION:A pair of discharging electrodes 3 and 4, a blower 16 to circulate gas laser medium 1 enclosed in a laser tube 2, and a water-cooling device 17 are equipped in the laser tube 2 which is a cylinder with a bottom and is made of an insulating, anticorrosive, heat-resistant, and air-tight material (such as ceramic). Discharging capacitors 5, 6,... are contained in containers 25 and 26 disposed near the discharging electrodes 3 and 4, therefore, the inductance of the discharge loop becomes extremely low to generate and maintain stable glow discharge. |
