PURPOSE:To designate a position extending over the whole surface of an original by correcting the coordinate when read coordinate information coincides with a value generated at the time of a threshold position at the time of abutting on a guiding member. CONSTITUTION:By providing the guiding member 113 on the end part of an original placing area 111, the position of a original sheet is determined mechanically and simply, and also, coordinate information generated when a position where the document sheet is brought into contact with the member 113 is designated is corrected. Whether the correction of the coordinate information is executed or not is switched by operating a prescribed shift switching means MS13. Also, in order to prevent a misalignment caused by a misoperation the means MS13, whether the generated coordinate information is appropriate or not is checked. That is, the correction of the coordinate information is limit only when the coordinate coincides with a value generated at the time of a threshold position at the time when a stylus pen 120 abuts on the member 113. |
