Electrical heating mantle (jacket)

An electrical heating mantle (jacket) for laboratory vessels, especially for flasks having a round bottom contour, is known, having a self-supporting moulded body having a hollow, which has an outer jacket and an inner jacket clothing the hollow, the inner jacket consisting of knitted, machine-knitted, woven or crocheted glass fibre threads and being connected to the outer jacket in the edge region of the hollow as well as optionally in the region of a penetrating opening in the hollow bottom, and the interspace between the outer jacket and the inner jacket containing a thermally-insulating filling as well as a heating body close to the inner jacket. In order to produce such a heating mantle more cost-effectively, the outer jacket is a silicone moulded shape in whose upper edge region and in the edge region of the penetrating opening, projecting loops or eyes are embedded, to which the inner jacket is fastened.
