PURPOSE:To eliminate the flickering of a display screen and to attain simultaneous observation with many persons by arranging right and left videos on a display surface, simultaneously displaying the images, respectively passing them through a polarizing means, after that, displaying the images simultaneously by being overlapped on a projecting surface by using an optical means and visually observing the projecting surface by using a polarizing glass to have a same characteristic as the polarizing means. CONSTITUTION:Since the right and left videos are arranged in a horizontal direction and displayed on the screen, a size in the horizontal direction is needed to be compressed to 1/2 at minimum and accordingly, a reading is executed at speed which is the double speed of a writing speed to memories 2 and 3. In front of the right and left videos to be displayed on a cathode ray tube 18, polarizing filters 21 and 22 are arranged to have polarizing axes 21a and 22a which are respectively in an orthogonal relation. Further, on the front surface side of these polarizing filters 21 and 22, lens systems 24 and 25 are provided, the above mentioned right and left images are displayed on a projecting surface 23 by being overlapped. The right and left videos to be displayed on the projecting surface 23 are observed through a polarizing glass 26 to have the same characteristic as the polarizing filters 21 and 22. Accordingly, right and left video lights are separated and the left video light is introduced to a left eye and the right video light is introduced to a right eye. Then, stereoscopic vision can be obtained. |
