A transurethral bladder catheter which cleans the mucous membranes makes it possible, by simple manipulation from outside, to impede and prevent complications such as blockage by discharge in the urethra, mucosal damage, urethral constrictions and, especially, ascending infections during long-term urethral catheterisation.
