PURPOSE:To eliminate an impact when a head rushes on a tape and to stabilize rotational scanning by varying the distance of a magnetic head to the surface of a recording medium in case the head is on the surface than the distance in case the head is out of the medium. CONSTITUTION:A rotary disk 7 mounted with a magnetic head 11 on the main magnetic pole side is shaped as a blade of a fan. The head 11 is disposed near the highest point in the direction of a rotary shaft 9, hence, when the head 11 approaches the magnetic tape 3 because of the rotation of the disk 7, the blade part 7-a of the rotary disk gradually presses the tape 3, so that the optimum press-contacting state is attained when the position of the head 11 comes. As a result, the impact at a time when the magnetic head rushes onto the tape can be eliminated and the most suitable head-touch can be realized. And by making the rotary disk 7 itself in a blade-like shape, the constitution can be simplified as well the cost can be reduced. |
