PURPOSE:To make it possible to process into a coil form without generation of cracks on a superconducting core wire by a method wherein a superconducting strand is wound around along the groove of spool, a metal sheath is removed by heating, and then a heat treatment is conducted. CONSTITUTION:The superconducting strand 3, formed by coating a metal sheath 5 on the superconducting core wire 4 consisting of an oxide superconducting material, is wound around along the groove 1 of a spool 2 on the surface of which the groove 1 is formed in a spiral form. Then, the metal sheath 5 is removed by heating the spool 2 at the temperature of the melting point or above of the metal sheath 5, and then an oxide superconducting coil 8 is manufactured by conducting a heat treatment. As the metal sheath 5 is removed by fusing after the superconducting strand 3 has been wound in a coil form as above-mentioned, the defect such as cracks and the like on the oxide superconducting material part is hardly generated, and the oxide superconducting coil 8 having high efficiency can be obtained. |
