PURPOSE:To keep heat transfer performance in a high level by installing a heat medium circulation rate controller which controls a heat load setting value by controlling a cell cooling water flow rate control valve with a heat load signal from a heat utilizing unit and controls a heat medium circulation rate by detecting the heat medium temperature returned from a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:Heat medium is heated in a heating furnace 1 by burning fuel cell off-gas and methanol with a burner 2. The off-gas is completely burned there but the combustion rate of the methanol is controlled with a combustion controller 3 which controls the opening rate of a methanol flow control valve 5 with a signal of a heating furnace outlet heat medium temperature detector 4, and the heat medium is heated to a temperature necessary for heating a reformer 6. The heat medium supplies heat for reforming reaction, then is introduced into a heat medium cooler 7. If the amount of heat is insufficient in a heat medium utilizing unit 9, a heat load instruction signal is sent to a heat load setting unit 8 to control the opening rate of a cooling water flow rate valve 12. A part of cooling water is introduced into the heat medium cooler 7 with a cooling water circulation pump 11 through the controller valve 12, and heat required is supplied to the heat medium utilizing unit 9. |
