PURPOSE:To accurately measure the exposure quantities of neutron rays and gamma rays by covering three glass elements for fluorescent light with (n) and (gamma) conversion filters and filters which are large and small in gamma-ray transmissivity, and measuring their light emission efficiency. CONSTITUTION:Top and reverse surfaces of the glass elements 3a-3c held by a holder 2 in a case 1 are covered with the (n) and (gamma) transmission filters of 1st and 2nd classes which are large and small in gamma-ray transmissivity and (n) and (gamma) conversion filters 5, 6, and 7, and gamma-ray shield bodies 4 and 2 are provided in the middle between the elements 3b and 3c. The elements 3a-3c when exposed to radiation differ in sensitivity correspondingly to characteristics of the filters 5-7. Here, a gamma-ray dose value Rgamma is represented as Rgamma=(aRa+Rb)/b, where (a) and (b) are coefficients and Ra and Rb are read values of the elements 3a and 3b. Further, a thermoneutron-ray dose Rn is represented as Rn=(Rc-CRgamma)/1.6, where C is the sensitivity of the element 3c to gamma rays.
