PURPOSE:To improve the shelf-life stability of the title material by preserving a prescribed photosensitive material in the presence of a drying agent and/or an antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photosensitive material contg. a water insoluble basic metal compd. (such as zinc hydroxide) and a reducing agent (such as a reducible dye supplying compd.) is preserved in the presence of the drying agent (A) and/or the antioxidant (B). And the drying agent (A) is composed of a silica gel, etc., and the antioxidant (B) is composed of a mixture of ferrous sulfate and an iron powder, etc. The drying agent and the antioxidant are preserved by wrapping them with a paper, etc., and enclosing a wrapped matter together with the photosensitive material in a bag made of polyethylene, etc., while shielding the light. And, an inactive gas such as a gaseous nitrogen, may be used as the antioxidant (B), and the photosensitive material may be preserved by degassing. |
