PURPOSE:To perform a high and accurate combustion control over a wide range of O2% in discharged gas by a method wherein a sensed signal of Ge or Si-photodiode is compared with a set value of a power spectrum ratio and changed over to control an amount of air or fuel supplied to a burner. CONSTITUTION:An optical sensor 12 comprised of Ge photodiode 12a and Si photodiode 12b, a frequency analyzer 17 and an adjusting unit 18 are provided. Sensed signals 13a and 13b of Ge photodiode 12a or Si photodiode 12b are taken and when its power spectrum ratio exceeds a predetermined supervising limit value, a sensed signal showing a larger rate of variation is selected. Either a flow rate adjusting valve 7 arranged in the midway of an air pipe 4 or a flow rate adjusting valve 5 arranged in the midway of a fuel distributing pipe 3 is controlled by an adjustor 18 so as to adjust an amount of supplying air or fuel. |
