PURPOSE:To always ensure an easy-to-see display of time, by temporarily shifting the display position of short hand in case the long and short hands overlap each other in radial display method. CONSTITUTION:The different 60 sets of radial segment electrodes are controlled via the minute counter CT1, the 60-notation hour counter CT2 to which an input is applied by CT1 in every 12min, the decoders D1 and D2, the driving circuit DR and others. Thus a time display is carried out by long and short hands. In case the long and short hands overlap each other at 1:05 and other time, the output of gate G3 in the control circuit B is inverted to a high level via the decoders D1 and D2. As a result, the output of gate G4 is inhibited and at the same time an output is produced at the terminal r6 of gate G5. A display of short hand is given at a shifted position to the display of long hand to ensure an easy-to-see display of time. |
