PURPOSE:To obtain the title photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity generating scarce fog and roughening of picture image by incorporating a compd. obtd. by bonding an amino group moiety of an alkyl ester of an amino acid to an terminal carboxyl group of a decomposed product of a hydrophilic protein with an amido bond. CONSTITUTION:A compd. obtd. by bonding an amino group moiety of an alkyl ester of an amino acid to a carboxyl terminal of a decomposed product of a hydrophilic protein with an amido bond is contained in a silver halide photographic sensitive material compsn. The compd. (proteinous emulsifier) is obtd., for example, by the method described hereunder, namely, by an enzymatic reaction of an alkyl ester of an amino acid, which has been synthesized previously, with a hydrophilic protein. Thus, a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, causing no increase of fog, nor roughening of the picture image, is obtd. |
