A refiner or grinder for paper stock for pulping fibre having one or two pairs of grinding discs, which is equipped with separating blades, one disc being fixed in the machine as stator and the other disc rotating with a narrow gap from it, is further developed, in that the separating blades may be inserted loosely in a base disc and are connected firmly to the base disc by means of clamping rings as well as clamping elements and bushes.
