The object of the invention is to allow cooling emanating from the hollow space of the bent roller to be transferred evenly onto the outside of the expander roller. For this purpose, the hollow spaces inherent in the design are filled by a conductive material, preferably aluminium, in the form of a moulded part adapted exactly to the shape of the respective hollow space. This configuration achieves not only a more uniform cooling on the outside but also an approximately even film of condensate between the expander roller and the material to be dried.
