摘要

PURPOSE:To increase charge-discharge cycle performance and reliability by absorbing lithium in a molding mainly comprising activated carbon powder having a surface area of 1000-2000m<2>/g. CONSTITUTION:Activated carbon having a surface area of 1000-2000m<2>/g is used as the main component and a conductive material such as carbon black is added thereto of necessary, and a binder is added thereto. The mixture is press-molded to form a molding and lithium is absorbed in the molding to form a negative electrode. Lithium is absorbed in the molding in such a way that the molding is brought into contact with lithium in an electrolyte solution or electrolysis is conducted by using the molding as a negative electrode.
