PURPOSE:To permit individual vibration caused by a load and prevent the damage of a joint by connecting the upper raked wall of the top side tank of a bulk cargo hold to the lower raked wall of the hopper tank using a side plating whose inner surface has smooth and soft structure. CONSTITUTION:A top side tank 1 that uses the upper raked wall (a) of a bulk cargo hold H as the bottom plate and a hopper tank 2 that uses the lower raked wall (b) as the top plate are connected together using a side plating whose inner part has smooth and soft structure. As a result, individual vibration of the top side tank 1 and hopper tank 2 caused by various loads and exerted on a hull can be absorbed in the side plating 4 with small rigidity and the damage of the hull can be prevented without generating excessive stress in both tanks. Besides, since the inner part of the side plating 4 is smooth, the inner part of the hold can easily be cleaned and repaired. |
