PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of distortion at a rotor section, by providing a circuit for maintaining rated rotation of rotor without tripping a driver upon occurrence of an electrical fault and maintaining intermediate rotation of the driver upon occurrence of abnormal vacuum. CONSTITUTION:During normal rotation of a superconducting generator 11, various control commands are provided from a control block to close a generator circuitbreaker 13, a field circuitbreaker 16 and an excitation circuitbreaker 18 and the rotor of the generator 11 is driven with rated rotation through a driver 12. Upon function of an overcurrent relay 14 due to shortcircuit of main circuit in the generator and the like, under this condition, a liquid helium supply stop command is provided through an OR gate 21 to stop supply of liquid helium 5 into a superconducting field winding 2 and to trip the circuitbreakers 13, 16. Then tripping of the circuitbreakers 13, 16 is confirmed through an AND gate 25, and a driver rated rotation command is produced through an AND gate 28 on the conditions that the vacuum system in the rotor functions normally, the vacuum pressure is low and the temperature of the winding 2 is low so as to maintain rated rotation of the rotor of the generator 11. |
