PURPOSE:To collect the traffic state of any operation with high accuracy as a measuring data by counting the number of real call packets from a subscriber terminal equipment so as to apply measurement. CONSTITUTION:Count sections CTS, CTR counting a transmission packet and a reception packet of a real call are provided to port sections P0-Pn for each of subscriber terminal equipments DTE1-DTEm. Based on the counted value of a transmission packet and a reception packet of a real call obtained in all ports of a packet switchboard the packet abort rate is measured. Thus, the traffic state of any operation is measured quickly to collect data without giving any effect on the traffic of the packet switching network or without giving any effect on the on-line processing, and the measurement of the packet abort rate is implemented with high accuracy.
