PURPOSE:To culture the subject plant containing a useful component such as anti-inflammatory agent, promoting quick growth of the plant in a short time, enabling the year-round culture and accumulating a large quantity of saikosaponins in the plant body, by subjecting a plant of genus Bupleurum to nutriculture. CONSTITUTION:The objective plant can be cultured by the nutriculture of a plant of genus Bupleurum. The nutriculture is preferably rock wool culture or hydroponic culture. Preferably, the culture is carried out by using a culture tank 3 lined with a black resin film and having a liquid discharge pipe 9 to discharge the supplied nutrition liquid at the bottom, a culture box holding a culture bed 1, having root-passing openings at the bottom and disposed on the culture tank 3 in a state overlapped with the culture tank 3, a nutrition liquid tank 4 lined with a black resin film, having an opening of a discharge pipe 9 of the culture tank 3 and placed below the culture tank 3, and a nutrition liquid supplying means for supplying a nutrition liquid from the nutrition liquid tank 4 to the culture tank 3 at a prescribed time. |
