Cross-braced wooden structure which can be used in the field of constructing buildings with a wooden framework. It is a structure composed of two layers of parallel laths, arranged so that the laths of one layer are perpendicular to those of the other layers (or form an angle close to 90 DEG with them) and connected at the intersecting points by a metal component made of bent sheet metal which is slit along its diagonals and folded so as to constitute a double guide for fixing the laths. The component is fixed to the laths by pins 3 or nails 6. The invention makes it possible to make up panels which can act as vertical internal or external walls, as floors, or as covering supports, or as cross-braced wooden framework elements. <IMAGE>
