The invention relates to a photoelectronic sensing or measuring device, in which a laminar body made of a fluorescent dyed plastic is arranged in a housing between at least two fluorescent lamps in the beam paths from the light source to the photoelements in such a way, that one flat side of the body faces the fluorescent lamps and one narrow side faces the photoelement arrangement, and the narrow side extends through a longitudinal wall of the housing provided with a longitudinal slit. In order to achieve improvements in respect of measurement accuracy, measurement speed, breadth of application and manageability, it is proposed, according to the invention, that the laminar body (2) has a smaller thickness (11) over its whole length in the region of the light exit than in the region of the fluorescent lamps (5, 6, 7, 8) and that means influencing the property of the emerging light are arranged between the body (2) and the receiver part (10). <IMAGE>
