PURPOSE:To control the temperature of hot water to a value which exercises no influence on a human body even when the temperature of feed hot water is suddenly fluctuated in a stepped manner, providing a second switching means which switches a control inference means and a second energizing amount set means by means of output signals from a gradient detecting means and a deviation computing means. CONSTITUTION:By referring to the control rule of a control rule memory means 31 by means of a control inference means 32 based on a determined temperature deviation, inference processing is effected to decide a regulating amount of a mixing means 21, and the mixing means 21 is energized through first and second switching means 30 and 35. When a change in a feed hot water temperature is suddenly produced, the change is detected by a gradient detecting means 34, by means of an output signal therefrom, a second switching means 35 is controlled to shift a control inference means 32 to a second energizing amount set means 33, and by means of the set energizing amount, the mixing means 21 is regulated at a full speed. This method rapidly regulates a mixing ratio, and a mixed hot water temperature starts to converge to a set temperature. When it is detected that a temperature difference is gradually decreased and temperature is returned to a value approximately similar to a set value, a second switching means 35 is controlled, and the second energizing amount set means 33 is switched to the control inference means 32.
