PURPOSE:To attain overall management of a picture data efficiently by providing a picture data management utility having functions of picture data generation, management record generation, readout processing, management record change and statistic processing to a specific office computer. CONSTITUTION:The picture data management utility is provided with a picture record generating section 14, a management record generating section 18, a readout processing section 20, a management record change section 22 and a statistic processing section 24. The picture data for one pattern is converted into plural picture records in a prescribed byte unit and stored in a picture file 12 by using a pattern number and its sequence as key information and a prescribed management record having the same pattern number and the head sequence is generated in response to the generation of the picture record and the result is stored in the picture file. Then the file readout of the picture data, the statistic processing of various picture data and the revision of the management record to vary the attribute of the picture data are implemented based on the management record of the picture file. Thus, the picture data is managed more efficiently. |
