PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of any undesired voltage in a metallic case i which a conversion element is packaged, by connecting the metallic case to the ground terminal of an externally attached circuit by means of a low-impedance conductor. CONSTITUTION:An optical transmission module is composed of a metallic case 2 in which a conversion element 1is packaged and of an externally attached circuit 4. The metallic case 2 is connected to the externally attached circuit 4 by means of a signal input line 3. The metallic case 2 is connected to a ground terminal of the externally attached circuit 4 by means of a connection line 5 formed of a low-impedance conductor. According to this construction, the case 2 which is connected by the connection wire 5 has a low impedance. As a result, the conversion element 1 located inside the metallic case 2 can be prevented from being affected by an undesired signal given from the outside. |
