PURPOSE:To protect a dye recording layer in a manner as to obviate deterioration in the recording performance thereof by providing the dye recording layer which can write and/or read information by a laser on a substrate and providing a protective layer consisting of a polymer latex thereon. CONSTITUTION:The dye recording layer which can write and/or read the information by the laser is provided on the substrate and the protective layer consisting of the polymer latex is provided thereon. Since the polymer latex is of a water dispersion type, said latex does not dissolve the dye and attack the dye layer unlike ordinary polymers of an org. solvent type. Since said latex is of the water dispersion type, the latex has the higher mol.wt. than the mol.wt. of ordinary water soluble resins and has the good water resistance as well. The water resistance and solvent resistance of the recording layer are, therefore, improved and the functions as the protective layer to protect the dye recording layer such as prevention of pickup of dust on the recording layer and flawing of said layer is sufficiently exhibited. |
