PURPOSE:To prevent a waveform interference by a pseudo gap from occurring by providing a core chip for recording and reproducing and forming a metallic magnetic film made of a high saturation magnetic flux density on its facing surface to a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A metallic magnetic film 12 is formed with a high saturation magnetic flux density material 'Sendust(R)' on the facing surface of a core 11 made of an oxide magnetic material to the magnetic recording medium and a core chip 13 is composed. The surface of the metallic magnetic film 12 is on the same plane as a rail 3 for floating of a slider part 1. Thus, the boundary face of the metallic magnetic film 12 and the oxide magnetic material does not appear and is formed in parallel with the facing surface, therefore, the boundary face does not operate as the pseudo gap. Consequently, the waveform interference by an original gap and the pseudo gap is eliminated. The core chip for recording and reproducing is joined through rails 2-4 held by the slider part 1 and a gap 6 for recording and reproducing. As the result, the waveform interference by the original gap and the pseudo gap is eliminated and good recording and reproducing can be attained. |
