PURPOSE:To produce easily a precise superconducting ceramic having a stable composition by molding a mixture consisting of fine powder of a superconducting oxide and an organometallic salt contg. at least one kind of constituting cation, and oxidizing the mixture by heating. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of an organometallic salt (e.g., diethoxy Ba, triethoxy Y, diethoxy Cu) contg. at least one king of constituting cation, with fine powder of superconducting oxide (e.g., fine powder of BaY2Cu3O7) is molded to a desired shape. The obtd. molded body 1 is laid in a quartz muffle 2 and heated with a heating furnace 4, introducing simultaneously O2 into the quartz muffle 2 through a valve 5a, oxidizing at about 600 deg.C, and sintering at about 1000 deg.C. Thus, a molded body of superconducting ceramic is obtd. Fusion of the material at low temp. is possible since an organometallic salt is mixed, so volatilization of Cu, etc., and contamination from a crucible are prevented. |
