<p>PURPOSE: To produce a porous, highly absorbent, inexpensive and high quality release paper by coating a paper substrate with a special barrier coating, curing the coated paper substrate, further coating the paper substrate with a silicone coating and then curing and cross-linking the coated paper substrate with radiation. CONSTITUTION: This release paper is produced by coating a porous and highly absorbent paper substrate with a silicone coating. Therein, the paper substrate is first coated with a barrier coating comprising a hot melt material insensitive to radiation, integrally curing the coated paper substrate, further coating the paper substrate with a silicone coating capable of being cross-linked with radiation and then curing and cross-linking the coating paper substrate by the irradiation of radiation.</p> |
