MANUFACTURE OF SOLID ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To improve a frequency characteristic of a capacitor without making its size large by a method wherein a fine powder of manganese dioxide is added to an aqueous solution of manganese nitrate as an electrolytic liquid, the manganese nitrate is pyrolyzed and the manganese dioxide is formed as a solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum foil sheet which has been etched and transformed is used as an anode foil sheet 1; a Manila paper sheet as a separator 3 is sandwiched between counter electrode foil sheets 2; this assembly is wound to be a cylinder shape; a capacitor element 10 is formed. The element 10 is heat-treated; the Manila paper sheet is carbonized so as to lower its density. this element is transformed in an electrolytic liquid; an oxide film is repaired. Then, a fine powder of manganese dioxide is added to an aqueous solution of manganese nitrate and is dispersed; the element 10 is immersed; a pyrolytic operation is executed under a prescribed condition; a manganese dioxide layer is attached and formed. This immersion and pyrolysis process is repeated several times; the compact and dense manganese dioxide layer is baked; in addition, a carbon layer is baked and attached onto it. Then, a transformation operation is executed again; the obtained element is resin-molded or sealed in a case; a capacitor is completed.
