<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a method to retrieve differential information between plural concepts by providing function expression which expresses the name of the concept and the function or the content of the concept and detailed description for the concept at a knowledge base in a knowledge retrieval system. CONSTITUTION:An input mechanism 100 accepts input [What is the difference in (a) and (b)?] to the knowledge retrieval system 110. A function expression acquiring mechanism 120 acquires corresponding function expression 166 from a LISP language knowledge base 160 based on the concept name 165 of the (a) and (b) inputted at the mechanism 100. A function expression comparison mechanism 130 compares the function expression 166 acquired at the acquiring mechanism 120, and when they are equal, a detail description acquiring mechanism 140 acquires the detailed description 167 from the base 160. A function expression preserving mechanism 150 preserves the function expression 166 compared at the comparison mechanism 130. An output mechanism 170 outputs the detailed description 167 or the function expression 166 obtained at the acquiring mechanism 140 or the preserving mechanism 150 as a result.</p> |
