PURPOSE:To facilitate the appreciation of the functions of a copying machine by automatically measuring the number of continuously copied sheets. CONSTITUTION:The control circuit of the copying machine is constituted of a 1st CPU 201 and a 2nd CPU 202 as main. The 1st CPU 201 is connected to an external ROM 206, an external RAM 207 and a clock IC 208 to which battery-backup is executed. The clock IC 208 outputs pulse signals every 0.1sec and the time for copying specified number of sheets is measured by counting the pulse signals. When a clock IC which can read out a current time is used, the time for copying the specified number of sheets and a time necessary for a first copy can be arithmetically processed from a copying starting time and a copying finishing time. Thus, the number of continuously copied sheets can be measured if the continuous copying of two sheets, at least, is executed. By setting the number of continuously copied sheets as a reference, the detection of troubles can be executed and also a standard for displacing the consumable parts of the copying machine can be obtained. |
