Gally operating for sewerage discharge includes an interconnecting shaft section Grating of fibre reinforced plastic has slotted rib pattern with transverse reinforcing ribs. Sewer cover is of square cross-ection which joins a discharge shaft section. The arrangement has upstanding rims and inward sloping recessed bottom. Upstanding rims have two support cams. Grating has ribs and slots. To avoid e.g. narrow cycle tyres from entering the slots a number of transverse reinforcing ribs are fitted. A protective cover frame may be fitted e.g. when subjected to heavy traffic.
