An arrangement for joining together wall or screen units (1, 2) comprising rails (3) arranged along the edges of said units which are to be joined together, and fittings (14) attachable to said rails and operable from the outside. The novelty of the invention resides in that the rails (3) comprise open grooves, defined side walls having longitudinal guide means (11) and inwardly collared flanges (8), one rail wall (8) having a series of slot-shaped holes (6), that the fitting (14) comprises a displaceable and fixable slide (15) provided with positioning means (17) and a through opening (18) for an axially non-displaceable, turnable sleeve (19) provided with a nut grip (24) and a socket-shaped portion (31) having cam curves (32) and a locking member (35) turnable in the sleeve (19) and axially displaceable against the action of a spring means (42), the locking member being provided with a locking head (36) at one end and, at the opposite end, with radially projecting means (46) adapted to be held in engagement with the cam curves (32) which comprise two portions, one steep (51) and one flat (49). |
