The prefab. metal chimney is clade with Eternit (RTM) or plastics plates glued to the outside. It has space to accommodate four passages in all. The first of these is insulated and of 200mm. Id, for the gases from an open fire. A second insulated passage is provided for those from a central-heating boiler, while third and fourth uninsulated passages of 125 mm. dia. discharge air from an air-conditioning unit, and the natural-flow ventilation air from the living room.
