The cooking appliance comprises a heating element (resistor) 2 placed inside an enclosure 4, the side wall 5 and the bottom 6 of which are closed and the upper part of which receives, in a removable fashion, a cooking plate 1 forming a lid. The heating element (resistor) 2 is mounted inside the enclosure 4 in a movable manner in such a way that the vessel 3 for collecting the cooking juice can be removed from the enclosure 4, upwards, after raising the cooking plate 1 forming the lid.
