<p>PURPOSE:To control a picture data subject to run length coding in response to the capability of the controller by providing a control means using a display storage means to copy a picture data the same as the decoded one preceding data and controlling a selection means so as to send the output picture data to the next stage when the 2nd detection information exists. CONSTITUTION:A decoding end information detection means 6 uses a control means 8 to monitor the end of run length decoding for a picture element data of one line. This is easily implemented because the data quantity for one line is known. When one line start information is detected and if decode end information is detected, the control means 8 controls the selection means 3 to send the inputted picture data to a temporary storage means 4. If no decoding end information is detected, the control means 8 controls the selection means 3 to invalidate the data without sending the inputted picture data to the next stage and copies the picture data decoded in one preceding line in the display storage means 7.</p> |
