An ovelapping filter centifuge comprises the following parts: a rotary drum (16) mounted unsupported in a housing (1) and provided with radial passages for the passage of filtrate, a lid (25) which slides axially with respect to the drum and closes the front side of the latter, a filling opening (39) for a suspension to be filtered, and a filling tube (26) one side of which is secured to the housing (1), the other side of which penetrates the filling opening and whose outlet end is located inside the drum (16) during centrifuging. In order to vary the pressure in the drum, the filling tube (26) can be connected to a pressurization or depressurization (44) and is hermetically sealed by a combined rotary and sliding seal (52) arranged on the lid. The filling tube (26) is preferably supported in the housing (1) by an elastic bearing (54) which, in combination with the rotary and sliding seal (52), permits additional oscillatory movements of the filling tube (26). |
