<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the remaining slag and Si content in a molten pig by draining a floating slug on the molten pig, with feeding an oxidative gas to the molten pig in a pig receiving vessel. CONSTITUTION: When a mixed pig truck 1 is tilted to scrape slug 5 floating on a molten pig in the mixed pig truck 1, using a dragger 4, gas blowing pipes 3, 3 are inserted into the molten pig with their top ends dipped in the pig through pipe insert holes 2, 2 piercing the top face shell of the mixed pig truck 1 and an oxidative gas e.g. air is blown to make the slug fluidity good. Thus it is possible to reduce the Si content in the molten pig and smoothly drain the slug to lessen the remaining slag.</p> |
