PURPOSE:To form a 2-color image through one copying process by laminating specified photoconductive layers different in spectral sensitive characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 4 is constituted by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 the first photoconductive layer 2 made of amorphous Si hydride, SiGe hydride or amorphous Ge, hydride and, the second photoconductive layer 3 made of amorphous Se. This photosensitive body is positively charged by a corona charge 5, exposed to light lambdaA having >=850nm wavelengths to transfer negative charge in the interface between the substrate 1 and the layer 2 to the interface between the layers 2, 3, then, negatively charged by the charger to decrease a charge quantity to 1/4-3/4 of that in the initial stage, after that, imagewise exposed to light past the 2-color original 6 to reduce the surface potential of the parts of the photosensitive body 4 exposed to light past the white part to 0V, the parts exposed to light past the color A to V1, and the parts exposed to light past the black part to -V2, and developed with a toner for positive charging and a black toner for negative charging. The obtained toner image is transferred to form a 2-color copied image. |
