PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition of high traction coefficient, with little evaporation loss at elevated temperatures, also excellent in viscosity characteristics, by blending a mineral oil of specific viscosity and a polycyclohexylalkane in specified proportions. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by blending (A) 20-80wt.% (pref. 30-70wt.%) of pref. purified paraffin-based mineral oil with a dynamic viscosity at 40 deg.C of 2-40cst and (B) 80-20(pref. 70-30)wt.% of a polycyclohexylalkane of the formula (n is 0 or 1; R1 and R2 are such that when R1 is H, R2 is CH3, while when R1 is CH3, R2 is H). |
