PURPOSE:To obtain the entrance-side facilities of a rolling mill which cuts the band of a bundled coil and winds paper automatically in safety by providing a band treating device and a paper winding machine on the opposite side of a rewinding machine in a strip rewinding direction so that they move forth and back alternately. CONSTITUTION:The coil 1 on a skid 2 is coveyed and loaded on the rewinding machine 4. The cutter of the band treating device 6 is moved forth to cut the band which bundles the coil 1 at the outer circumference. The rewinding machine 4 is rotated to convey the band in the band treating device 6, and the band is stored in a storage part. The band treating device is moved together with a carriage 8 and the paper winding machine 7 provided to the carriage is aligned to the coil 1 of the coil rewinding machine 4. The rewinding machine 4 is rotated to allow paper wound between strip layers to fall on a conveyor 16, and the paper is fed toward the paper winding machine 7 and wound around a spool. The wound paper coil 12 is stored in a discharging device. This device treats the strips efficiently without any abrasion. |
