PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal insulating sheet easily usable for clothing, hood, etc., for refuge from fire by preparing a water-absorbing sheet composed of the water-absorbing resin composite, which is made by laminating a water-soluble ethylene unsaturated monomer on a fibrous or spongy base, over one side of a layer composed of a metal film having metallic glossy surface. CONSTITUTION:A layer 2 composed of a metal film having metallic glossy surface reduces the radiation heat from a heat source. A sheet 1 is made by adhering a water-permeable sheet 4c forming a face portion being out of contact with the metal film and a water-permeable or impermeable sheet 4d together, forming a groove 4b, forming a baggy space 4a between grooves, 4b and 4b, and sealing the corresponding amount of water-absorbing resin 4e in the inside of said space. A water-absorbing macromolecular polymer 3 as water-soluble polymer is obtained by impregnating or coating a fibrous or spongy base with ethylene unsaturated monomer forming a water-absorbing polymer as an aqueous solution and polymerizing it. The heat insulation effect is realized due to the heat capacity and evaporation heat of the water previously absorbed in the water-absorbing resin and the temperature rise is prevented. |
